Who is the Eastside Experience?

The Eastside Experience is a power trio consisting of James Kammerer (guitar, lead vocals), Jack Freymann (bass), and Juan Segura (drums, backing vocals). Originating as a group of college friends who would meet on weekends for jam sessions, the members soon realized they were creating something more than just music for fun. As they began bringing their own song ideas into the studio, those sessions evolved into a shared creative process that cemented them as a band. Their shared love of music has created a bond that extends beyond the music itself, giving The Eastside Experience a foundation built on friendship, collaboration, and a genuine desire to create something together.

Influences include the sounds of soul, classic rock, jazz, and country, blending together to create a sound that is diverse yet cohesive. The Eastside Experience draws from the rawness and emotion of these traditions while allowing each member's musical background to shape the direction of the band. Rather than being confined to one genre, the music moves between styles naturally, creating something that feels authentic, soulful, and distinctly its own. In addition, members of the band realize the importance of improvisation, creating room in songs to bring new ideas to the table, never playing a song the same as the time before.

Our goal is to make our audience feel immersed and draw them in with intense emotion. Whether through the energy of a live performance at venues such as the Cobra or the intimacy of a recorded song, we want every moment to feel genuine and alive. The Eastside Experience is about creating a space where musicians and listeners can connect through the shared experience of music, leaving the audience with something they can feel long after the music stops.
